Clyde & Co US LLP is seeking entry-level associates for their insurance coverage-focused litigation practice in San Francisco. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on case analysis, legal research, and strategic dispute resolution, providing a strong foundation for a long-term litigation career.
Responsibilities
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence in connection with insurance coverage litigation
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Attend and support depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and client communications
Skills
- Is planning to sit for the California State Bar Exam (or is otherwise eligible for California State admission)
- Possesses strong academic credentials
- Has a demonstrated interest in insurance coverage and litigation matters
- Brings excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills
- Has strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Is comfortable handling sensitive and time‑sensitive matters
- Demonstrates sound judgment and effective problem‑solving skills
