Job Description
First Citizens Bank is a financial institution seeking a Fixed Income Trader I. This role involves supporting trading, portfolio management, and investment research teams by conducting market analysis, providing operational support, and executing trades in the fixed income market. Responsibilities Conduct in-depth analysis of fixed income markets, including interest rates, credit spreads, economic data and macro factors. Communicate market insights and relative value opportunities to the investment teams.
Stay informed of economic indicators and geopolitical events affecting fixed income markets. Assist with security type analysis Assist in troubleshooting middle office and operational issues from a trading perspective including, but not limited to dealer know your client (KYC) requests, trade fails, and settlement monitoring. Assists in counterparty onboarding, which includes identifying and initiating new trading relationships Execute trades (both buying and selling) for individual client portfolios.
Utilize market intelligence to monitor trends in the fixed income sector while providing recommendations to investment strategy based on market analysis. Manage trade execution across various trading platforms as well as security selection for individual client portfolios Skills Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Investment and market knowledge OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Investment and market knowledge Bachelor's Degree Preferred Area of Study: Finance, Mathematics or Economics Preferred Area of
