- Responsibilities
- The fCMO will serve as the lead engagement executive responsible for developing and implementing the strategic marketing transformation for a designated client.
- The fCMO will join the management and leadership team within the client’s organization and oversee the outlined workstreams associated with our 4-step marketing transformation process as outlined in the signed proposal and contract.
- These four steps include 1) marketing audit and assessment; 2) development of the business and go-to-market strategy; 3) creation and implementation of initiatives and tactics and 4) assessment and optimization of marketing performance.
- The fCMO will need to be able to flex their management, oversight, and executional talents between the client’s organization, the use of outsourced resources (agencies and freelancers) and his/her own skills and talents to affect the necessary results desired within the timeline of the engagement.
- Client success ultimately depends on the fCMO’s ability to find and implement quick wins from day one while transforming the marketing function for long-term sustainable growth across the timeline of the engagement.
- Complete a full digital marketing audit and assessment including digital footprint, branding & messaging, competitive analysis.
- Succinct analysis with clear outcomes and recommendations for a roadmap to success.
- Development of the business strategy and go-to-market plan that will drive marketing transformation for the client. An insights and data led strategy that differentiates the client within the market place, outlines clear initiatives, tactics and resources required including a timeline and KPIs to achieve the business goals of the firm.
- Requirements
- Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Master's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 20+ years of experience in marketing attaining a minimum position of Vice President, ideally CMO, with a minimum of 5 years leading the marketing organization within an organization. Experience with demonstrated success in digital marketing, branding, and strategic planning. Demonstrated executive presence working with C-Suite executives, Boards and leadership teams. A proven, trusted and motivating leader of teams. Experience working for law firms, professional services or other relevant B2C experience.
