Job Description
We are seeking expression of interests from experienced Sustainability Consultants to assist Australian companies with their climate change disclosures under AASB S1 and S2.
The ideal candidate/s will have a strong background in sustainability reporting and familiarity with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework. Your role will involve guiding companies through the reporting process, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and helping them communicate their sustainability efforts effectively. The successful consultant/s will work with clients across diverse sectors to design, develop, and deliver sustainability reports, ESG frameworks, and compliance documentation.
1) Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the preparation of **Sustainability and ESG Reports** in accordance with **GRI Standards**, **AASB S1 and S2**, and other relevant frameworks.
- Conduct **materiality assessments**, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability data analysis.
- In Conjunction with other consultants, advise clients on **ESG strategy**, disclosure, and performance improvement.
- Support alignment with frameworks such as **ISSB**, **TCFD**, **UN SDGs**, and **Integrated Reporting (IR)**.
- Collaborate with the Finoptis team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based sustainability solutions.
- Contribute to business development through client introductions, proposal input, and thought leadership.
- Participate in Finoptis’ long-term growth with potential to transition into a **Partner** or **Senior Consultant** role.
2) Required Skills and Experience
- Strong expertise in **GRI Standards** and practical experience developing sustainability reports aligned with Australian AASB S1 and S2
- In-depth knowledge of **ESG**, **climate-related**, and **sustainability disclosure frameworks**.
- Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and guiding clients on sustainability strategy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client assignments.
- GRI Certification and/or relevant sustainability credentials (preferred).
- Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for sustainability consulting.
