For local candidates within 60 miles of our Holland, OH headquarters, this role is hybrid after 60-day orientation period. For candidates outside of local area, this role would be primarily remote, but must be open to travel to HQ as required by the manager. The developer will maintain and update WordPress sites, including themes, templates, and plugins, develop interactive content, manage migrations to new hosting platforms, and implement custom coding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Additional duties include creating international sites, managing tracking integration with Salesforce, and supporting marketing technology implementations such as Monetate and Google Tag Manager. The role also involves collaboration with marketing, UX, and web development teams to translate marketing goals into effective web components and ensure accessible, responsive email templates The ideal candidate will have strong WordPress expertise, front-end coding skills, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact digital solutions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Website & WordPress Development Update and maintain WordPress templates and themes and develop interactive content for our thought leadership sites. Migrate and manage WordPress sites on new hosting environments or platforms. Install, configure, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins. Write and implement custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code as needed. Develop international sites with region-specific content Create and manage tracking between WordPress sites and Salesforce Marketing Technology Integration Collaborate with the Marketing team to implement personalized experiences using Monetate, providing custom code and guidance. Support marketing initiatives by coding responsive and accessible email templates. Assist in managing and deploying tags via Google Tag Manager, ensuring accurate tracking and analytics. Act as liaison with dev on CMS platform to ensure marketing-focused on page content development Stay up-to-date on marketing / email technology trends Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a technical liaison between Marketing and Web Development teams. Translate marketing goals into functional web components and experiences. Partner with UX to provide input on UX/UI best practices to enhance user engagement. Skills:
Proficiency in WordPress (themes, plugins, migrations). Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and web analytics tools. Hands- on experience working with personalization platforms like Monetate or similar. Understanding of SEO best practices. Experience with version control (e.g., Git). Familiarity with server-side tagging. Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG). Experience with Firebase integration. Basic design skills or experience working with creative teams. Must be able to work independently, with ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with AI dev tools Experience working in Agile/Scrum Methodology Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Lucid, and Microsoft Office applications Preferred Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in in computer science, web design, or related area, or equivalent experience. Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience in front-end web development, preferably within a marketing or agency environment. Experience implementing international websites. Experience with email development (HTML/CSS for email clients). Physical Requirements / Work Environment :
