EvenUp is on a mission to close the justice gap using technology and AI, empowering personal injury lawyers and victims. The Frontend Engineer will build and maintain user interfaces for EvenUp’s AI-driven platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance and accessible web applications. Responsibilities Build and maintain frontend systems that power core product experiences Translate product and design requirements into intuitive, accessible, and performant user interfaces Work with senior engineers to support frontend architecture decisions Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver end-to-end features Uphold best practices for performance, accessibility, and user experience Learn from and contribute to a positive frontend engineering culture Implement user interfaces for EvenUp’s AI-driven platform, focusing on performance and accessibility Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to help bring new features to life Support architectural decisions for product surfaces and learn about scalability and maintainability Help develop and maintain design system components and shared frontend libraries Learn to optimize applications for speed, accessibility (a11y), SEO, and responsiveness Take on projects with guidance from more experienced engineers and participate in best practice sharing Skills Some experience with modern frontend technologies such as React (or similar frameworks), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Interest in learning state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Jotai) and modern frontend architecture patterns Experience or interest in working with design systems and component libraries; willingness to collaborate using tools like Figma Curiosity about web performance optimization, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles Exposure to frontend testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress; experience with git for version control Willingness to learn modern frontend build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack) and bolthires/CD pipelines Desire to ship user-facing products in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team Experience building AI-driven or data-heavy web applications Familiarity with backend integration patterns such as REST APIs or GraphQL Exposure to SSR frameworks like Next.js Experience deploying frontend applications using Vercel, Netlify, or AWS Amplify Benefits Choice of medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for you and your family Additional insurance coverage options for life, accident, or critical illness Flexible paid time off, sick leave, short-term and long-term disability 10 US observed holidays, and Canadian statutory holidays by province A home office stipend 401(k) for US-based employees and RRSP for Canada-based employees Paid parental leave A local in-person meet-up program Hubs in San Francisco and Toronto Company Overview EvenUp is the leading AI platform for personal injury law.
