As a Software Engineer I, you will develop essential internal tools and services that empower game teams and studios, shipping full-stack features end-to-end in an AI-First development culture. Responsibilities You will collaborate with team members to define project requirements, technical specifications, and deliverables, ensuring understanding of our goals You will deliver quality features, identify risks and dependencies You will write automated tests and deliver high-quality software You will debug live incidents, even in unfamiliar territory or situations You will participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and help identify opportunities for process improvement You will use AI-powered coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) as your primary development accelerator You will steer AI-generated code with an attention to correctness, security, and maintainability Skills 1+ years of software engineering experience Experience with web platforms and related technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, React, and ExpressJS Experience using AI-powered development tools as part of your workflow Experience with Python, NextJS, or Vite Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments Exposure to DevOps or infrastructure systems such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda Functions) Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) Experience with testing solutions such as Cypress and Jest Benefits Vacation (3 weeks per year to start) 10 days per year of sick time Paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave) Extended health/dental/vision coverage Life insurance Disability insurance Retirement plan to regular full-time employees Healthcare coverage Mental well-being support Retirement savings Paid time off Family leaves Complimentary games Company Overview Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world.
