About the position Vaco Phoenix is looking for a fully remote Medical Coder for a top Healthcare client in Chicago, IL! This Medical Coder Specialist must have 3 years of experience as well as a CCS Certification. This is a long-term contract to hire position paying $36/HR-$40/HR depending on experience. Responsibilities • Assigns ICD-10-CM-PCS and/or CPT-4 diagnostic and procedure codes to patient charts with accuracy and attention to detail • Abstracts selected data items and enters in 3M encoder/Epic software with accuracy and attention to detail • Completes UHDDS data abstraction as required • Maintains a log of work performed • Completes other assigned duties as directed by management • Competent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to concentrate on task at hand in open distracting environment independent manner; minimizing distractions in private work-from-home space • Ability to local, state, and federal coding guidelines with attention to detail Requirements • Must have CCS Certification • 3 years of experience in medical coding Apply tot his job
