Job Summary of General Merchandise Associate:
Responsible for delivering excellent customer service by actively engaging and assisting customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a tidy store environment, while following operational, merchandise, and loss prevention protocols.
Responsibilities of General Merchandise Associate:
Β Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
Β Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
Β Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures
Β Promotes credit and loyalty programs during customer interactions
Β Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
Β Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
Β Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
Β Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
Β Provides and accepts ongoing recognition and constructive feedback
Β Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Β Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Β Participates in safety awareness and maintenance of a risk-free environment
Β Performs other duties as assigned
