Job Description
The School for Young Performers is looking to hire a part-time German teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, with the potential of continuation for the 2025-2026 school year. The German educator will work with a 6th grader online 2 to 3 times/week, and the current course is Middle School German 1A. Sessions will be in 40 to 45-min blocks, meaning a total of 1.75-2.5 hrs/instruction per week.
Ideal candidates must have the following:
- A MINIMUM of 3 years experience teaching/tutoring German to grades 5-10.
- Complete fluency in German (can teach German I through German IV)
- Conscientious, patient, compassionate, flexible and professional
- Current teaching certification (preferred by not required)
- Experience working 1-on-1, small group classes or in homeschool constructs
- Available weekday hours (i.e. between 10 am and 2 pm PDT)
- Have a personal computer with email/MS Office AND a cell phone with access to email
- Be a United States citizen with proper U.S. government documentation OR have a valid green card with permission to work in the U.S.
