- *Responsibilities**
As a Gift and Data Entry Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and accurately keeping current the gift record system and acknowledgment processing of gifts and pledges received by arenaflex.
- Managing and maintaining gift forms, making adjustments to past gifts as necessary, and researching and answering questions from other Advancement staff.
- Writing gift processing procedures and workflows for the Advancement Services manual.
- Working with the business office to balance accounts and providing information to the business office about gift processing.
- Assisting with audits as needed, adhering to established audit controls, security measures, and confidential/privacy standards.
- Responding to donor and gift inquiries while delivering excellent customer service and performing any necessary follow-up.
- Performing technical setup for gifts, staying informed and up-to-date about compliance with IRS regulations, FASB accounting principles, and CASE standards related to gifts.
- Updating CRM constituent records with biographical information, including employment, family relationship, and all other relevant constituent information.
- Providing biographical and gift record information to members of the Advancement staff and the arenaflex community.
- Managing gift sessions, publications, and other pertinent documentation within CRM or shared drives.
- Serving as an Alumni Class Notes writer and editor, providing alumni information for the Archways magazine.
- Preparing an annual plan of work, including specific goals, expected results, standards of performance, and budgetary needs.
- Co-managing the ISADV and ADV-gifts email folders.
- Researching biographical updates and changes for data integrity.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- *Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred, or two years of gift entry or related experience.
- One year of data entry, database experience required, with a financial background preferred.
- The ability to learn and retain detailed and unique gift and data entry processing.
- Familiarity with computer records systems and data retrieval.
- The ability to respond positively to frequent shifts in deadlines, work well under pressure, and meet scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.
- The ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and responsiveness to changes in procedures and policies.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A personable and cooperative attitude.
