Duties • Conduct thorough research on potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate donors, utilizing databases such as Raiser's Edge and other grant management tools. • Write clear, persuasive grant proposals and technical reports that align with funder guidelines and organizational goals. • Manage all aspects of contract management related to grants, ensuring compliance with terms and timely submission of reports. • Develop detailed budgets and financial reports to support grant applications and demonstrate program sustainability.

• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data, evaluate program outcomes, and craft compelling narratives that showcase impact. • Maintain accurate records of grants, contracts, deadlines, and correspondence within databases for easy tracking and reporting. • Proofread and edit proposals, reports, and supporting documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism. • Assist in strategic planning efforts by identifying new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.

We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to support funding efforts focused on food security, child nutrition, and meal programs. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government funding sources that support food purchasing, meal operations, and nutrition programs.

Key Responsibilities: Research grant opportunities related to food insecurity, after-school meal programs, child nutrition, and community food access. Write and submit grant proposals, letters of intent, and applications. Adapt existing program narratives and budgets to meet funder requirements. Track deadlines and submission requirements. Assist with follow-up documentation if grants are awarded. Required

Experience: Proven grant writing experience for nonprofit organizations. Experience with food programs, meal programs, or nutrition-related funding.

Strong writing, organizational, and deadline management skills. Preferred

Qualifications: Experience securing grants for food purchasing or meal distribution. Familiarity with CACFP, USDA, or child nutrition funding. Knowledge of Texas or federal funding sources. Ability to work independently and remotely.
