Location: Mclean, VA 22102 - Remote

Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire

Job Description:

Join a leading healthcare organization as a Senior Health Intelligence Analyst, where you will act as the primary liaison between business operations and technical data delivery. In this "techno-functional" role, you won't just pull data; you will own the entire reporting lifecycle for major state contracts, ensuring that the insights we provide help improve healthcare delivery and compliance.

Own end-to-end operational reporting cycles, from initial requirements gathering through final delivery.
Act as the primary reporting lead for assigned clients, navigating complex healthcare data models to ensure accuracy.
Analyze data trends (e.g., provider quality, member outreach) and draft executive-ready summaries and commentary.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from MS SQL or Oracle databases.
Design and maintain reporting artifacts in various formats including Excel (macros), SSRS, and PowerPoint.
Drive "BI Governance" by identifying opportunities to standardize reports and reduce redundancy.

7+ years of experience in analytics or operational reporting.
Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, data lineage, troubleshooting) and Excel (macros and complex formulas).
Significant experience in the healthcare or managed care industry.
Experience navigating complex healthcare data models to ensure accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Microsoft reporting stack, specifically SSRS.
