Compensation: β€’ The pay for this position is $40.97 per hour β€’ Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment β€’ A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Highlights: β€’ This position is a contract assignment with potential to extend based on performance and business needs β€’ Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm local time (January–May) β€’ Work from home in Michigan; may include limited onsite visits to provider offices (must live in or near Michigan) β€’ Training provided prior to the start of the assignment Responsibilities: β€’ Participate in the collection and review of medical records to abstract clinical information for HEDIS quality reporting β€’ Review and interpret clinical criteria, annotate via Adobe PDF, and populate data collection tools to support compliance with HEDIS and CMS performance measures β€’ Complete assigned abstraction and data entry daily with accuracy and within established timelines β€’ Work with provider offices to schedule or confirm appointments and follow up on medical record submissions β€’ Identify trends and document areas for improvement β€’ Maintain productivity and accuracy levels while ensuring confidentiality of PHI in accordance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules β€’ Maintain safe, organized documentation of all collected information Requirements: β€’ Minimum of 4 HEDIS seasons of experience auditing and abstracting medical records required β€’ Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to read and interpret medical records β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Reader, and database tools β€’ Must have private, uninterrupted workspace, reliable internet connection (wired via ethernet cable, not Wi-Fi), and space to accommodate a laptop and dual monitors β€’ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel locally as needed (reliable transportation required) β€’ Must commit to attend all required training and conference calls for the duration of the project β€’ High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Professional demeanor and strong work ethic Education: β€’ High School Diploma or GED required (verifiable) If you are interested in this position, please apply directly to this job posting or email your resume to [email protected].
