Helpdesk / Desktop Support Technician Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Helpdesk / Desktop Support Technician to provide first-line technical assistance to Borough staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and a customer service mindset, supporting both onsite and remote users. Responsibilities: β€’ Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. β€’ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, email, and network connectivity issues. β€’ Assist with new user setups, permissions, and onboarding. β€’ Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support teams as necessary. β€’ Document support requests and maintain accurate ticketing records. Qualifications: β€’ 2–3 years of IT support or helpdesk experience. β€’ Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or HDI Support Center Analyst preferred. β€’ Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and remote support tools. β€’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. β€’ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
