Helpdesk / Desktop Support Technician Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Helpdesk / Desktop Support Technician to provide first-line technical assistance to Borough staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and a customer service mindset, supporting both onsite and remote users. Responsibilities: β’ Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. β’ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, email, and network connectivity issues. β’ Assist with new user setups, permissions, and onboarding. β’ Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support teams as necessary. β’ Document support requests and maintain accurate ticketing records. Qualifications: β’ 2β3 years of IT support or helpdesk experience. β’ Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or HDI Support Center Analyst preferred. β’ Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and remote support tools. β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. β’ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
