Job Description
Hi, We’re looking for a high-level Shopify designer & developer to build a fully custom, design-driven website for a premium brand. This is not a template-based Shopify store and should not resemble a typical dropshipping website in any way. The goal is to create a bespoke, visually refined e-commerce experience that feels established, intentional, and brand-first — comparable to what you’d expect from a modern luxury brand. We are not interested in off-the-shelf themes, reused frameworks, or recognizable Shopify layouts. The end result should be a one-of-a-kind statement website with strong visual presence, thoughtful UX/UI, and carefully considered details throughout. Scope of Work Design & Visual Direction • Fully custom design created from scratch (no templates or reused systems) • Experience designing high-end or premium e-commerce websites • Strong understanding of typography, spacing, layout hierarchy, and visual balance • Ability to translate brand positioning into a cohesive and elegant digital identity Custom Shopify Development • Advanced Shopify development using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS • Custom sections, bespoke components, animations, and interactions • Clean, scalable, and performance-focused code without compromising design Performance & Growth • Fast-loading pages and optimized site structure • Conversion-focused UX implemented subtly and intelligently • Familiarity with tools like heatmaps, testing, and trust-building UX • Architecture built to scale as the brand grows Tracking & Integrations • Setup of GA4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and Conversion API • Server-side tracking experience is a plus • Integration of selected apps for reviews, upsells, and marketing flows • Klaviyo setup and configuration (email copy can be discussed separately) Ideal Candidate • Strong portfolio of design-led, premium Shopify projects • Excellent aesthetic judgment and attention to detail • Comfortable handling both design execution and technical development • Used to working with clients who value quality, originality, and long-term thinking • Clear communicator who works independently and reliably Application Requirements Please include: • Links to Shopify websites you personally built that reflect premium or luxury execution (Template-based or generic stores will not be reviewed) • A short explanation of your approach to bespoke, brand-driven Shopify builds • Your workflow (planning → design → development → launch) • Estimated timeline and project cost • Ongoing rate for post-launch support and updates About the Project • This is a long-term brand initiative, not a short-term experiment • We value craftsmanship, originality, and thoughtful execution over speed • The right candidate will become a long-term creative and technical partner • Budget is flexible for the right level of quality and experience Please apply only if you specialize in original, expert-level Shopify work — no recycled layouts, no theme reuse, and no shortcuts.
