Role Description
- This role provides intake support for the claims department, coordinating communications and ensuring timely review, assignment, or response to emails. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing claim submissions for accuracy and loading them into the claims system
- Checking the status of claims
- Providing customer service to clients and partners
- Processing mail, email, and faxes to maintain departmental productivity, quality, and timeliness standards
- Assisting in preparing financial data associated with refunds, recoupments, adjustments, and reissues
- Maintaining logs and filing systems
- Coordinating communication between reinsurance companies and various internal and external areas
- Reviewing documentation for completeness and determining benefits
- Requesting additional information when needed
- Documenting process changes accurately
- Ensuring effective customer relations by responding accurately and courteously to inquiries
- Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year customer service or administrative experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good human relations skills
- Strong research ability
- Ability to function in a high-pressure environment with minimum supervision
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven customer service skills
- Good judgment
- Proficient spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic math skills
- Requirements
