Role Description
- Consultant, Strategy/Life Science, IQVIA Inc., Durham, NC. May telecommute (work from home) from anywhere in the U.S. and report electronically to the Durham, NC office location.
- Leverage business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client questions.
- Support senior team members to develop strategy for real-world evidence generation.
- Conduct primary and secondary research, and analyze research to identify key findings and learnings.
- Work closely with programming/statistics teams to investigate diagnostic, descriptive, and statistical data/outputs.
- Create sections of reports, presentations, workshops, and other client deliverables across the study lifecycle (e.g., study protocols, statistical analysis plans, publication manuscripts), under general guidance from experienced team leaders.
- Communicate study findings and recommendations in internal meetings and client presentations.
- Contribute to dissemination of study findings, e.g., via development of publication manuscripts and conference abstracts/posters/presentations.
- Assist with business development and proposals.
- Work independently or as part of a team, with some responsibility for managing workstreams, tracking progress of others’ deliverables, anticipating obstacles and managing execution.
- Perform quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client deliverables.
- Develop broad knowledge of related consulting and observational research methodologies and pharmaceutical market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
- Manage specific project deliverables with the support of senior team members, assisting with overall project/client management and day-to-day project oversight (e.g., leads weekly internal project status updates and deliverable reviews).
- May lead some learning, development, and training sessions.
- Produce zero defect work under time pressure (e.g., free of typos/grammar errors; adherence to templates, brand guidelines, submission guidelines).
- Work M-F, 8am – 5pm and occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet business needs.
- Qualifications
- Requires a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Outcomes Research, or related field or foreign equivalent.
- Requirements
- Requires if master’s one (1) year, if bachelor’s degree three (3) years of consulting experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry including:
- Utilizing knowledge of real-world data or real-world evidence applications in drug safety or health economics and outcomes (HEOR) research within the U.S. life sciences industry.
- Utilizing qualitative or quantitative research or statistical approaches to answer client questions.
- Working across time zones as part of a global team.
- Leading and contributing to projects spanning multiple disciplines, with flexibility in approach and execution.
- Requires less than 10% international and domestic travel to attend internal team meetings, face-to-face client meetings, trainings, and other company/project-related events.
- Benefits
- The potential base pay range for this role is $114,512 - $203,800 annually.
- The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
- Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
