Role Description
It’s an exciting time to be joining a rapidly growing small business! Rainmakers Strategic Solutions, LLC, a certified SBA 8(a), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), is looking to expand capabilities in the government health care space to support an expanding portfolio of federal healthcare clients. We seek a healthcare policy analyst to support the CMS Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances (EPCS) program.
- We are looking for a strong communicator who can respond promptly to prescriber inquiries regarding EPCS, analyze data trends, draft reports, and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve program outcomes.
- Serve as the CMS EPCS Program policy and compliance SME
- Coordinate EPCS non-compliance notices, waiver applications, and determinations
- Work closely with the statistical team to analyze compliance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Lead for non-compliance notice distribution team tasks
- Support analytical processes and perform QA
- Perform research and contribute to annual program outcome reports
- Develop briefing papers and coordinate enhancements with the development contractor
- Support Level 2 help desk inquiries
- Contribute to development of outreach materials
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred (MPH, MHA, MPP).
- In-depth knowledge of CMS regulations and guidelines, specifically related to quality programs. Knowledge of the EPCS Program a plus.
- Analyze health data, literature, and legislation to determine the effectiveness of current policies and identify gaps. SME-level knowledge of CMS claims and systems, particularly Part D, is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a policy, analytic, regulatory, or support role within a healthcare or government setting.
- The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large government healthcare programs. Experience in a clinical setting is a plus.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with prescribers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in compliance calculations and waiver reviews.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to achieve program goals.
- Benefits
- Proficiency in working with large data sets, skilled in use of SQL. Experience with python, dovetail, and Adobe analytics a plus.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and tools used for compliance tracking and reporting. Must be proficient in Tableau or PowerBI.
- Proficient in use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and shared communication platforms such as MS Teams.
