About the Role & ProgramJoin us for the opportunity to intern with Disney Branded Television (DBT)! We are the team that oversees development and production of content geared towards kids, teens and families for Disney+ and Disney Channel linear networks. We encourage fans of genre/adventure television and sitcoms/multi-cams. This is a phenomenal learning opportunity for anyone that is curious... about television development in kids and family content!
If selected for this internship, you will report directly to the Manager of Development.
What You Will Do
You will support the Original Live-Action Series Development team for DBT. We are a close-knit team, and we want you to familiarize yourself with our shows. Some tasks that you will help with include: updating tracking grids and development reports, taking notes during meetings, and cutting dailies as needed. There is also the chance to assist the team with administrative duties. Not every day is the same, but some current projects and tasks that will be assigned to you include:
รย Giving notes on incoming material
รย Creating and distributing weekly development reports
รย Maintaining various tracking grids
รย Note-taking in team and project meetings
รย Cutting dailies
รย Basic administrative duties i.e. answering phones and scheduling
Required Qualifications & Skills
รย Curiosity in scripted development series
รย Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
รย Excellent oral and written communication skills
รย Experience in Microsoft Office and Google suites
รย Motivated, self-sufficient, with a can-do attitude
รย Passion for reading
รย Strong computer and research skills
รย Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
Preferred Qualifications
รย At least some previous education or experience in a related field (TV, film, childrenรยs education/development)
รย Prior administrative experience is nice to have
Education
รย Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
รย A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
รย Be at least 18 years of age
รย Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
รย Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
รย Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
รย The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
รย Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
รย Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
รย Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this internship in California is $22.00 per hour.
