Job Description

About the position Responsibilities • Coordinate the OSH policy program and system for the Oregon State Hospital. • Provide technical guidance to staff to ensure compliance with standards. • Manage the Oregon State Hospital's policies by leading all stages of policy development, revision, and review. • Coordinate with policy owners, key participants, OSH leadership, and the superintendent. • Identify, recommend, write, and implement operational division-wide policy. • Develop and maintain the OSH policy system. Requirements • A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills. • Four years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work related to hospital policy and program management and coordination. • Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience related to hospital policy and program management and coordination. Nice-to-haves • Experience working with and knowledge of the regulations relevant to hospital licensure, accreditation, and operations. • Experience working with and knowledge of technical policy, procedure, and protocol development in a psychiatric hospital setting. • Basic knowledge of legislative requirements for hospital operations. • Working knowledge of organizational behavior and administrative systems principles related to projects and project management. • Advanced writing and editing skills with experience communicating effectively in writing. • Experience developing collaborative working relationships across the organization and in other agencies. • Ability to listen and respond in a respectful, professional manner. • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe applications.
