Housing Navigator & Mobility Coach

About the Role
We are looking for a Housing Navigator to help families secure safe, stable housing and move to neighborhoods with greater opportunity. You will guide residents through the housing search process, remove barriers, and support successful lease‑ups.
- What You’ll Do
- Assist clients with housing search, applications, and landlord communication.
- Support moves to “opportunity neighborhoods” by helping families evaluate schools, transportation, and community resources.
- Help clients overcome barriers such as credit challenges or documentation needs.
- Coordinate with the Public Housing Authority on RFTA and lease‑up steps.
- Connect households to credit counseling, deposit assistance, and other supports.
- Track mobility outcomes and maintain accurate records.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience in housing navigation, mobility counseling, real estate, or community services.
- Knowledge of Northern Virginia rental markets is a plus.
- Strong advocacy and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to build trust with families and landlords.
