Job Description
GardaWorld Federal Services is seeking an HR Specialist for a temporary position that may become permanent. The successful candidate will implement human resources programs, coordinate the onboarding of new employees, and maintain HR systems and files.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the in-processing of new employees; both domestic and international
- Creates personnel files for all new employees
- Enter new employees and make changes to existing employees in HRIS system
- Interface with hiring managers
- Ensure new hire paperwork is complete for employees
- Conducting Virtual I9 verifications
- Conducting new hire orientation programs
- Maintain HRIS and generate reports as necessary
- Maintain HR Files and documents
- Liaise with insurance carriers and providers of service
- Knowledge of COBRA and FMLA programs
- Answer employee benefits and general HR questions
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential information
- Must possess superior Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Special reporting and other projects, as required
Skills
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Costpoint) will be a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field experience
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally, with discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization
- PHR/SPHR Certified
