Job Description
Scott Credit Union is hiring an HR/Benefits Associate in Edwardsville, IL to support our employees and strengthen our culture of excellence. The role involves performing administrative tasks to support the HR department, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records.
Responsibilities
- Assists with bi-weekly payroll processing by reviewing payroll data for accuracy and completeness, verifying benefit deductions and employee changes, and supporting resolution of discrepancies prior to payroll submission
- Coordinates and processes paperwork related to benefits, retirement plans, COBRA continuation, workersโ compensation, unemployment, and other Total Rewards components
- Assists the Payroll & Benefits Specialist and HR Business Partner II with Total Rewards โ related projects, audits, and process improvements as needed
- Responds to inquiries regarding organizational processes, policies, procedures, and Total Rewards programs, ensuring consistent and accurate information
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as open enrollment, health fairs, organization-wide meetings, and employee communications
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee records, compensation data, and Total Rewards information
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and experience with HRIS system
