Project Overview:
WEOKIE Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced HubSpot email developer to create a library of reusable, modular email templates that align with our brand standards and significantly reduce layout rework and formatting corrections. This is a one-time project.
About Us:
WEOKIE is a $1.5 billion credit union serving 67,000+ members across Oklahoma. We recently launched a comprehensive website redesign (www.weokie.org) and need our email templates to match that same level of visual consistency and professionalism.
What We Need:
We're looking for a developer to build a comprehensive library of modular HubSpot email templates that our marketing team can easily customize without needing to recreate layouts from scratch each time.
Project Scope:
Discovery & Analysis
Review 10–15 past email campaigns we'll provide to understand our typical content patterns, messaging hierarchy, and design needs
Analyze our recently launched website (www.weokie.org) which will serve as the visual and structural North Star for hierarchy, typography, spacing, and tone
Template Development
Build modular email templates directly inside our HubSpot portal (we will provide access)
Create reusable content modules (hero sections, product features, CTAs, footers, etc.) that can be mixed and matched
Ensure all modules are mobile-responsive and render correctly across major email clients
Implement our brand fonts, colors, spacing guidelines, and visual hierarchy consistent with www.weokie.org
Meet WCAG AA contrast standards and validate using a recognized accessibility testing tool
Test modules in dark mode and adjust where supported to prevent color inversion issues or illegible text
Include clear documentation on how to use each module and template
What Success Looks Like:
Marketing team can build professional, on-brand emails in 60 minutes or less
Templates are flexible enough to accommodate various campaign types (promotions, announcements, newsletters, etc.)
Zero guesswork on spacing, fonts, or colors—everything follows our brand standards
Accessibility standards are consistently met across all email communications
Templates perform well in dark mode across supported email clients
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience building custom HubSpot email templates (please share portfolio examples)
Strong HTML/CSS skills with expertise in email-specific coding practices
Deep understanding of email client compatibility and mobile responsiveness
Experience with WCAG accessibility standards and contrast validation tools
Familiarity with dark mode email rendering and mitigation techniques
Knowledge of HubSpot's drag-and-drop module system
Ability to translate brand guidelines into functional, reusable code
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely
Nice to Have:
Experience working with financial institutions or credit unions
Familiarity with HubSpot Marketing Hub and email best practices
Understanding of email deliverability and spam filter considerations
Experience documenting technical processes for non-technical users
