- *Job Summary**
As a Hybrid Customer Services Specialist (Construction), you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks associated with splicing and maintaining outside plant facilities and equipment. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills. - *Key Responsibilities**
- Installs, connects, maintains, rearranges, and dismantles aerial, buried, building, or underground telephone plants and associated wiring and cable, including poles.
- Works with light and heavy-duty electrical and hydraulic equipment, as well as numerous hand tools, in the installation and maintenance of outside plant facilities.
- Reads and interprets standard practices and engineering work prints and makes up daily time and material reports.
- Prepares newly installed cables and conductors for splicing by removing outer sheath and filling compound from buried type cable.
- Identifies conductors in adjoining cable sections, according to diagrams and specifications, color code, and/or by means of test set.
- Performs some repair and maintenance functions on outside plant cable facilities.
- Reviews and analyzes complex schematic drawings to determine the work to be done and assure the proper sequencing of tasks.
- Splices wires in multiple conductor cables in aerial, underground, buried, submarine, and building applications.
- Makes necessary tests for hazardous atmosphere before entering manhole and continues tests while working in manhole.
- Positions careerzynith as the premier provider of choice.
- Performs all other duties comparable to the above as assigned.
- Uses and/or wears appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures.
- *Requirements**
- Valid state driver's license
- Non-negligent driving record
- Meet 275 lbs. weight limit due to safety restrictions
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation Physical
- Ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors
- Ability to lift and move up to 100lbs
- Qualify on pre-employment screening: Technical/Mechanical Test III (TMT III)

- Competitive hourly wage: $12.81 to $27.79 per hour
- Average starting earnings: $57,798 per year
