Illustrator Needed for Detailed Architectural Campus Scene (Product Label Artwork)

Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled illustrator to create a detailed, hand-drawn style illustration of a well-known university campus landmark for use on a premium product label. We want an artist who can translate a real campus landmark into a polished, emotionally resonant visual with a strong sense of place.

The final artwork should feel:

• Clean, nostalgic, thoughtful, and not easily replicable

• Architecturally accurate, but artistically stylized

• Suitable for high-quality print (packaging/label use)

This piece will feature:

• A recognizable campus building as the focal point

• A surrounding outdoor environment (water, landscaping, etc.)

• Balanced composition that works within a rectangular label format

We will provide:

• Reference photos and creative direction after hiring

• Clear feedback and fast communication

Style Direction

We are aiming for something similar to:

• Fine line illustration / architectural sketch

• Etching or engraved-style line work

• Minimal but intentional shading (not overly busy)

Deliverables

• Vector file (Adobe Illustrator preferred) + high-res PNG

• Print-ready formatting

Ideal Candidate

• Strong portfolio of architectural or landscape illustration, preferred

• Experience with product/packaging design is a plus

• Ability to interpret references (not just replicate them)

• Attention to detail and composition
