Medicare products

Featuring a broad range of options, our Medicare plans are a popular choice. In fact, more people choose UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans than any other insurance company in the country. We offer the only Medicare plans that carry the AARP® name.

Medicare Advantage plans

Also known as Part C, Medicare Advantage plans combine the benefits of Original Medicare (Parts A and B) with additional benefits like vision, hearing and dental. Most plans include Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.

Medicare Supplement plans

Sometimes called “Medigap,” Medicare Supplement insurance can help pay some of the out-of-pocket costs Medicare Parts A and B don't cover. These plans allow members to go to any provider in the United States that accepts Medicare, without a referral.

Dual Special Needs plans (D-SNPs)

These are a type of Medicare Advantage plan for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid (also referred to as "dual eligible" or D-SNP). UnitedHealthcare Dual Special Needs plans combine all the benefits of Original Medicare (Parts A and B) with prescription drug coverage (Part D).

Medicare Prescription Drug (Part D) plans

A Medicare Part D plan offers prescription drug coverage. This plan can be used along with Original Medicare (which doesn’t include prescription drug coverage) and with Medicare Supplement insurance plans.
