This is not a big corporate type company, you will report directly to the CEO and be expected move quick. This is a core product leadership role with real ownership from concept to production. Role Overview We’re looking for an Industrial Designer with deep experience designing water-based products, ideally within filtration, plumbing, fluid systems, and a consumer application. This person will own the industrial design of our products end-to-end—working closely with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing partners, and leadership to bring ideas from sketch to production-ready reality.

Responsibilities - Product Design & Development • Lead industrial design from early concept, sketching, and ideation through production-ready designs • Design products that integrate water flow, filtration systems, seals, fittings, pumps, and plumbing components • Balance aesthetics, ergonomics, durability, and serviceability in water-exposed environments • Create detailed CAD models, surfacing, and assemblies ready for engineering handoff Water & Filtration Focus • Design housings and systems that accommodate filters, cartridges, hoses, inlets/outlets, drains, and water circulation • Understand and design around water pressure, condensation, corrosion, scaling, and long-term exposure • Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs support filtration performance and maintenance access Manufacturing & DFM • Design with manufacturability and bolthires in mind from day one • Collaborate with overseas manufacturers to optimize designs for tooling, molding, CNC, and assembly • Support sample reviews, revisions, and production ramp-up • Ensure materials, finishes, and tolerances are appropriate for wet, high-use environments Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with: • Mechanical engineers • Product leadership • Sourcing & operations teams • Marketing (for visual storytelling & product presentation) • Participate in product reviews and help guide tradeoffs between speed, bolthires, and perfection RequirementsMust-Have • 5+ years of industrial design experience with physical consumer products • Proven experience designing products that involve water systems, filtration, plumbing, or fluid handling • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar) • Deep understanding of: • Materials for wet environments (plastics, metals, coatings) • Seals, gaskets, threads, and fasteners • Experience taking products from concept → prototype → production Nice-to-Have • Experience in: • Water filtration products • Outdoor or wellness equipment • Appliances or premium consumer hardware • Experience working with overseas manufacturers • Understanding of tooling constraints (injection molding, rotational molding, thermoforming) • Experience collaborating with brand teams on design language and visual identity What We’re Looking For (Beyond the Resume) • You care deeply about product quality and user experience • You understand that speed matters, and perfection is sometimes the enemy of progress • You’re hands-on, opinionated, and comfortable owning decisions • You’re excited to build products that customers use every day to improve their health
