About the position The Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control Program, developed to control the spread of infections and/or outbreaks. Track and monitor transmissible diseases and notify local, state and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required. As an IP, you will serve as a subject matter expert in infection control, collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to develop, implement, and monitor effective protocols. Through surveillance, data analysis, education, and policy development, the IP fosters a culture of safety and protection, protecting patients, staff, and visitors from healthcare-associated infections.
