You will support the efforts of our Federal, State, and Local clients to evaluate and implement their priority objectives. Support to the Infrastructure Funding and Grants Team is the primary focus area for this position. You will collaborate with diverse teams at Jacobs such as our advisory solutions team that includes economic, financial, and grant funding specialists, transportation and water planners and engineers, economists, resiliency specialists, and many others to meet our clientsā needs.
You will support regional and community clients with innovative financing strategies, the preparation of State Revolving Fund applications, pre- and post-award compliance assistance, and program management activities across the US.
Specific responsibilities that the Funding Consultant is envisioned to hold include:
Lead development of technical, economic, and financial analyses of federal funding initiatives for water, wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater.
Develop training and other presentation materials for Federal policies and programs.
Conduct training for federal agency staff, state agencies, and broader stakeholder groups focused on water resources.
Provide technical assistance to states and other entities as required by Federal agency assignments.
Coordinate with colleagues at Jacobs to develop responsive scopes of work and budgets for assignments identified by Federal agencies.
Support business development work through our Jacobsā sales team and Client Account Managers in developing scopes of work and qualification statements for proposals to agencies related to technical support.
Supporting mentoring and development of supporting staff through on-the-job training.
You may also support EPA and other agencies in conducting training and technical assistance and support development of guidance documents to aid in the implementation of federal program initiatives.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelorās degree in finance, public administration, public policy, or related field; masterās degree preferred.
5 years of professional experience working with Federal, State, or local agency public sector funding programs focused on water, wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater.
Experience in developing guidance documents that define how to access and take advantage of Federal funding programs.
Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft technical reports and guidance documents in a professional voice and style, free of spelling or grammatical errors.
Proven ability to work within interdisciplinary teams where the technical input from diverse disciplines needs to be coordinated, often within short timeframes.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $132,750.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
