About the Opportunity
We’re hiring Interface Engineers to support a Microsoft-aligned healthcare technology organization delivering enterprise clinical integrations nationwide.
This is a fully remote, long-term contract (12+ months) focused on building and supporting HL7-based interfaces across hospital and EMR environments.
If you enjoy hands-on integration work, troubleshooting real-world clinical data flows, and collaborating directly with customers — this role is for you.
- What You’ll Do
- Build, configure, and test HL7 interfaces (ADT, ORU, ORM, SIU, etc.)
- Define interface specifications based on client and vendor requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues (data flow, mapping, connectivity)
- Work directly with healthcare customers during implementations
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Support, and Microsoft-aligned teams
- Support go-lives and post-production stabilization
- ✅ Required Skills (Must Have)
- 2+ years of hands-on HL7 interface development experience
- Experience building/testing interfaces with clients
- Understanding of HL7 message structure (segments, triggers, components)
- Experience with an interface engine (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Corepoint, etc.)
- Basic to intermediate SQL query writing
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- ⭐ Nice to Have
- Epic, Cerner, or other EMR integration experience
- TLS / mTLS experience
- XML or JavaScript
- PowerScribe or PACS familiarity
