Job Description
We are seeking a design consultant to refine and elevate the interiors of a boutique inn in New England inspired by the fictional naturalist Abigail Wilder. The aesthetic blends early-1900s American heritage, White Mountains exploration, field-journal storytelling, and understated rustic elegance.
This is a stylistic refinement role — not a full renovation. We are looking for a designer who can bring cohesion, authenticity, and historical depth to an existing property.
Responsibilities:
- Curate and source furniture, decor, lighting, textiles, and wall details
- Refine color palettes and materials to reflect American heritage design
- Recommend specific purchasable items (retail-ready sourcing)
- Develop mood boards and room-by-room styling direction
- Ensure all design decisions align with the Abigail Wilder narrative
Ideal Experience:
- Boutique hospitality or experiential lodging projects
- American heritage / folk / early 1900s design language
- Story-driven environments or brand-integrated interiors
- Strong sourcing ability within defined budgets
This is a short-term consulting engagement with potential for continued collaboration as the property evolves.
