Position Overview:
The Data Analyst Intern supports the Metadata Governance Manager in the creation of semantic interoperability of the PBS ecosystem & beyond.
- Intern will register PBS's rich, historical catalog in a public registry to ensure each historical show title is findable across the global entertainment industry. The work entails:
- Integrating different data sources to collect and validate show information into clean data sets
- Using qualitative and quantitative methods to gather information about a specific topic
- Design and use tools such as surveys, interviews, and observations to obtain information
- Requirements for success:
- Has or is working towards a degree related to metadata/data management.
- Must have worked on metadata/data governance projects.
- Has experience working on metadata/data projects with diverse groups.
- Is energized by working with people.
- Skills the Intern may gain:
- An understanding of the value of data and data quality as it relates to any organization's operations.
- An appreciation for the complexities of metadata/data management within a media organization.
- Additional Information:
- Time Commitment: June 1, 2026 - August 21, 2026
- Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
