About the position Bloomsbury Academic Publishing's Introductory Reference, Bloomsbury Libraries Unlimited, and ABC-Clio database publishing imprints are seeking an editorial intern for Summer 2025. We are a publisher of academic books and databases located in Midtown/Herald Square with an affiliated office in Santa Barbara, CA. We commission in a broad range of subject areas across the humanities and social sciences. Our intern plays a key part of our day-to-day operations. As a Bloomsbury Academic editorial intern, you will work with the Editorial team on a variety of projects that reflect the diverse aspects of our academic publishing. Responsibilities β€’ Working with data systems like Biblio and Salesforce as needed β€’ Perform testing on our digital product platforms β€’ Manage submissions to the Cataloging-in-Publication and Library of Congress programs β€’ Manage departmental shipping β€’ Complete various administrative tasks β€’ Complete course, academic, and picture research β€’ Assist with the creation of book resources such as PowerPoints for instructors β€’ Opportunities to take on other editorial projects may also arise Requirements β€’ High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook β€’ Firm grasp of grammar and spelling, with a keen eye for detail β€’ Ability to work efficiently and independently β€’ Strong communication skills in a fast-paced professional environment Benefits β€’ This position pays minimum wage ($18.00/hour) β€’ Candidates may wish to arrange for college credit for the placement to supplement Apply tot his job
