They are seeking an Internal Auditor responsible for performing audit examinations and reviews to ensure accurate reporting and effective internal controls, while also providing suggestions for improvements. The role involves collaborating with the internal audit team and assisting external auditors, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities Participates in the achievement of the internal audit annual plan by performing audit investigations and reviews.
This includes scheduling, planning, testing, preparation or work papers and documentation, reporting deficiencies, and following up with management Proactively works as part of the internal audit team to monitor and suggest improvements in the internal control environment, as well as makes operational recommendations resulting in improved sales, margins, operating expenses, and working capital management Assists external auditors by performing selected audit steps supporting the annual external audit process Participates in branch and distribution center annual physical inventory process Performs audits of corporate functions as well as distribution facilities and regional offices Participates on special projects as assigned Skills Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, finance or related 1 year required of accounting or audit experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Understands generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Strong work ethic with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Comfortable interacting and communicating with all levels of management and staff Comfortable performing in a complex cross-functional, fast-paced, changing environment Proficiency in bolthires Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information in a mature and sensitive manner Ability to travel (including international) up to 25% Master's Degree - Accounting, finance or related Licenses/Certificates/Designations - CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA Ability to make sound judgments and decisions Working knowledge of data analytic tools Benefits Paid time off Medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plans Company Overview At Wesco, we believe life should run smoothly.
