IT Applications Project Manager - Clinics |Remote | 12 month FTC |Competitive Salary + Comprehensive Benefits Job Summary The IT Application Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of healthcare IT application projects. This role manages application requirements, design, build, testing, and deployment while ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and regulatory needs. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, experience working with healthcare systems, and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead the full application lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and Early life support (ELS) Lead the full SAP application lifecycle including requirements, design and build, UAT, QA testing and implementation Lead other essential applications lifecycle including requirements, design and build, UAT, QA testing and implementation Coordinate with SAP functional and technical teams during solution design and build Liaise with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to collect, document, and manage application requirements Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors during application design and build phases Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and sign-off Coordinate and support Quality Assurance (QA) testing to ensure applications meet functional, technical, and regulatory standards Ensure applications comply with healthcare regulations and standards (Information governance, data privacy, security requirements) Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communications Attend quarterly PI planning and readiness with PMO Identify issues and risks early and drive timely resolution Support change management, training coordination, and go-live readiness Monitor post-implementation performance and manage enhancements or fixes as needed Adhere to project timeliness and standards Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the healthcare sector Proven experience managing application development and implementation projects Strong knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) Hands-on experience managing UAT and QA testing processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to translate clinical and business needs into technical requirements Key Skills SAP application lifecycle management Healthcare application development Requirements analysis, solution design and documentation UAT & QA coordination Risk and issue management Cross functional stakeholder engagement Healthcare compliance awareness Benefits We offer employees a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to: 35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays Employer and employee contributory pension with flexible retirement options Spire for you’ reward platform - discount and cashback for over 1000 retailers Free Bupa wellness screening Private medical insurance Life assurance Free onsite parking Our Values We are extremely proud of our heritage in private healthcare and of our values as an organisation: Driving clinical excellence Doing the right thing Caring is our passion Keeping it simple Delivering on our promises Succeeding and celebrating together Our people are our difference; it's their dedication, warmth and pursuit of excellence that sets Spire Healthcare apart.
