About the position
- Responsibilities
- Design and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency in data center operations.
- Drive process improvements and automation within the data center.
- Develop reports and key metrics for operational performance.
- Document standard operating procedures and operational level agreements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and availability.
- Provide advanced support for raised floor incident resolution.
- Ensure all personnel accessing the data center are trained and authorized.
- Support effective utilization of raised floor capacity and maintain accurate DCIM records.
- Drive raised floor efficiency programs focusing on cost reduction and space utilization.
- Plan, allocate, and track data center raised floor space.
- Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years experience supporting a large scale computing environment.
- Minimum two (2) years in a leadership role working with IT or operational teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care or related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years IT experience in a support or operations environment, with additional equivalent work experience substituting for the degree requirement.
- Nice-to-haves
- Three (3) years experience assisting with data center continuity planning.
- Four (4) years media handling experience.
