Job Description
Idaho Power, located in Boise, Idaho, is looking for an IT Technical Systems Analyst to join their Information Technology team. This role involves working on domain-specific solutions, including requirements management, solution assessment, and end-user support, while offering flexible schedules and the opportunity for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Work on domain specific solution(s)/application(s)
- Perform solution assessment and validation
- Elicit, analyze, manage, and communicate requirements
- Design and document solution(s)
- Provide end user support
- Conduct moderate troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain basic reports and queries
- Perform basic system configuration
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and/or certifications
- 2 or more years professional level IT/business experience with a minimum of 1 year business analyst experience
- 5 or more years professional level IT/business experience with a minimum of 3 years business analyst experience
- Knowledge of business analyst principles
- Knowledge of requirements management
- Knowledge of business case development
- Knowledge of elicitation
- Knowledge of communication
- Knowledge of analysis and process modeling
- Skills in requirements management from planning to execution
- Skills in developing and tracking project requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Meeting facilitation and negotiation skills
- Skills in creating and maintaining business relationships
- Problem solving skills, making sound recommendations, and managing expectations
- Ability to assist with projects/initiatives through business case development and requirements management
- Ability to focus on the details without losing overall perspective of the larger goal
- Ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in work tasks or the work environment
- Ability to adjust efficiently to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures
- Ability to prioritize course of action for self to ensure that work is managed effectively
