PwC Canada is a community of solvers tackling the world’s most important problems, and they are seeking an Assurance CPA to join their team. The role focuses on providing independent assessments of financial statements and enhancing the credibility of financial reporting while contributing to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion
- Evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls
- Build relationships and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies
- Contribute to work that matters—whether it’s helping clients navigate complex challenges or driving trust in financial reporting
- Participate in our national upskilling program, designed to help you build future-ready capabilities in data, technology, and business acumen
Skills
- Enrolled in post-secondary education and working to obtain the Canadian CPA required prerequisite courses
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organisational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data, facts and other information to deliver quality to our clients
- Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
- Ability to easily adapt and prioritise, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities
- This role requires that you are legally entitled to work for PwC in Canada for the intended duration of the offer/contract
- Bilingual in English and French
