A3 Consulting LLC is looking to hire a Java Developer III for our government client. The experienced Java Developer will be responsible for leading a team of other java developers on designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications. - In this job you will:
- Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and secure Java applications.
- Architect solutions for complex business problems using Java and related technologies.
- Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on the development team.
- Resolve complex problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Optimize performance of applications through tuning, caching, and efficient algorithms.
- Act as team lead on projects.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and security best practices.
- Participate in development of software user manuals.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and integrate them into development processes.
- Qualifications for the role:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a java developer.
- Demonstrated understanding of system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques.
- Experienced in DevOps best practices.
- Familiarity container platforms for custom built application (Docker, OpenShift, etc.).
- Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Event-driven APIs (e.g., event mesh) and libraries (e.g., Vue).
- Proficient in Alfresco API.
- Strong knowledge of Java coding standard and best practices, design patterns, and code optimization techniques.
- Experience with Java IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, JetBrains, IntelliJ, NetBeans).
- Experience creating external modules and packages.
- Experience with at least one of the common Java build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle ā familiarity with all of these is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write technical documentation.
- Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret or the ability to obtain an interim Top Secret
- Salary range:
- The salary range of this position is $150,000 - $165,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
