Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join a supportive school district near Fort Walton Beach, Florida for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position working with a K–12 student caseload.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and consultative services to students with visual impairments
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and service providers
- Utilize Braille, large print, and assistive technology to enhance student learning
- Participate in IEP development and progress monitoring
- Requirements:
- Active Florida TVI Certification
- Experience with K–12 caseloads
- Proficiency in assistive technology and adaptive materials
- Braille knowledge preferred
- Commitment to working onsite throughout the school year
