Job Description
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. They are seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join their Design Engineering Team, responsible for civil design interactions and permitting activities. The role involves providing design support on various infrastructure projects throughout North America.
Responsibilities
- Provide design support on Industrial Infrastructure and Transit and Freight Rail projects throughout North America
- Review regulations and standards to support technical studies, design, and permitting activities
- Use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, simulation models) to prepare analyses and documents
- Prepare Issued for Construction (IFC) plans, reports, specifications, and technical designs for civil/site and railroad projects
- Conduct site inspections and attend jurisdictional or client meetings; travel up to 15% within North America
Skills
- EIT license required
- Natural or acquired U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Experience in industrial and commercial infrastructure design, construction, permitting, and plans examination
- Proficiency with project/document management platforms such as Civil 3D, ACC, Procore, BIM360, ProjectWise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu
- Ability/experience in design detailing
