Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare services organization, is seeking a Lead QA Analyst for a contract‑to‑hire opportunity. This company is rapidly growing and is investing heavily in modernizing its systems. They are looking for a hands‑on QA professional to establish test automation practices from the ground up, train the team on automation, and drive quality across key initiatives such as system integrations and EMR implementations.
- Experience of the Right Candidate
- 5+ years of professional software testing experience with a strong focus on manual testing.
- Proven background in creating testing standards and processes, and training teams on quality assurance best practices.
- Expertise with tools such as Selenium or UiPath (or similar) and the ability to recommend cost‑effective automation solutions.
- Experience validating large data sets and automating these validation processes.
- Healthcare industry experience (EMR, EHR, HL7, FHIR, eRAD, PACS) is a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non‑technical team members.
- Goal‑oriented, self‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with cross‑functional teams.
- Responsibilities of the Right Candidate
- Implement and lead automation efforts: introduce automation tools and frameworks, and train the QA team on usage and best practices.
- Collaborate across teams: work with developers, project managers, business analysts, and other QA professionals to ensure high‑quality releases.
- Analyze requirements: create test scenarios and traceability matrices aligned with project requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain test assets: develop detailed test cases and automate them to cover functional and non‑functional aspects of the product.
- Execute and document testing: conduct both manual and automated tests, report clear results, and track defects through resolution.
- Data validation: automate the validation of large data sets to improve speed and accuracy.
- Regression and release testing: ensure that new features or enhancements do not negatively affect existing functionality.
- Process improvement: actively participate in initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively: clearly articulate issues, progress, and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
