Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead SRE/DevOps Engineer to join our remote team, supporting the MST time zone. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members. As a Lead SRE/DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our team's technical direction and driving success in cloud infrastructure, application security, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices across the team.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure using Azure and AWS.

  • Develop and manage infrastructure automation using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services.

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on technical best practices and career development.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, leveraging debugging skills and knowledge of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.

  • Develop and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Datadog, ELK, and Prometheus.

  • Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Argo Workflow, and Argo CD.

  • Manage distributed systems like Kafka, Scylla, and Cassandra, ensuring high availability and performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications


  • 12+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on SRE, DevOps, or related fields.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SRE or DevOps roles, with a strong technical background.

  • Experience with application security practices and principles.

  • Understanding of availability regions, networking concepts, and cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills


  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including release and build pipelines (Jenkins).

  • Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure, including management and maintenance.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation and container orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.

  • Strong knowledge of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.

  • Debugging skills and experience with troubleshooting complex technical issues.

  • Deep understanding of servers, networking, and related technologies.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like Datadog, ELK, and Prometheus.
