Position: Lead Unreal Engine 5 Game Designer (Remote)
Location: Indiana
Overview
I’m Konstantinos (Founder, Axiosys). We’re building Mawforged, a first-person dark-fantasy warfare game where faction PvP, logistics, and survival loops collide. I’m looking for a Game Design Lead who can own systems end-to-end and drive them from vision → specs → playtests → balance.
- !!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!! This is currently a revenue-share/equity-based position as we finalize our initial funding rounds over the coming months. We’re assembling a founding team of passionate professionals who believe in the long-term potential of Mawforged.Responsibilities
- Survival & economy: scarcity, crafting, durability, disease/temperature risk
- PvP balance: roles, counters, TTK, objectives, map/readability with Level Design
- Telemetry & iteration: define KPIs, read the data, tune accordingly Qualifications
- Particiapted in a shipped/late-stage title (systems, multiplayer, or survival)
- Strong UE5 literacy (Blueprint prototyping or tight engineer collaboration)
- Exceptional documentation & communication; drives clarity across teams
- Comfort running playtests, analyzing results, and making hard trade-offs Preferred qualifications
- Faction warfare or large-scale PvP experience
- Telemetry stack familiarity (KPI dashboards, A/B style iteration) How we work
UE5, Git Lab CI, Open Project (Nextcloud), Discord standups. Small senior team, high ownership.
