Job Description
Dentons US LLP is currently seeking a Legal Recruitment Coordinator to join their New York office. This role involves supporting the firm’s US recruiting strategy, managing the Summer Associate Program, and assisting with various aspects of attorney recruiting.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate interview schedules for partner and associate candidates and oversee virtual meeting logistics
- Solicit feedback on candidates from partners and associates
- Coordinate all aspects of the Summer Associate Program, including pre-arrival setup and communications, orientation, social events, work allocation and evaluations
- Maintain and update candidate information in Applicant Tracking System (LawCruit), including sending correspondence to applicants
- Coordinate 1L and 2L on-campus recruiting efforts
- Facilitate conflicts and background checks for all candidates
- Assist with travel arrangements and expenses for candidates as needed
- Support US recruiting projects and initiatives
- Attend local recruiting events as necessary
- Other duties may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one year of recruiting, human resources or professional development experience required, with preference for legal recruiting experience
- Previous experience coordinating recruiting efforts or scheduling across multiple offices and practice groups
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality work product
- Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Interest in collaborating with others and learning more about the legal recruiting industry
- Ability to occasionally work outside of the regular work schedule to meet department needs
- Possess a high degree of trustworthiness and discretion, due to the highly confidential nature of the legal recruiting process
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with an applicant tracking system is a plus
