Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented freelancer to assist with legal research, data entry, and case tracking. The goal is to create a comprehensive, organized spreadsheet that tracks ongoing legal cases, statuses, deadlines, and related documentation.

The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, and familiar with legal terminology, and able to work independently to ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research using public records, dockets, and other sources

Enter and organize case information in a clear, user-friendly spreadsheet

Track case status, deadlines, filings, and outcomes

Verify and cross-check data for accuracy

Provide regular updates on progress

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet tools

Familiarity with legal research and terminology preferred

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills

Deliverables:

Fully formatted spreadsheet with tracked cases and key information

Clean, organized, and easy-to-update structure

Notes on sources, deadlines, and next steps for each case

Project Scope:

Less than 30 hrs/week
