Responsibilities
As a Legal Transcriptionist at Workwarp, you will be responsible for transcribing recordings, formatting legal documents, and conducting basic research to ensure accuracy and completeness. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Transcribing recordings of varying audio length and quality
- Properly formatting legal documents, insurance forms, letters, memos, and notes
- Transcribing legal terms, medical terms, locations, and names with proper spelling and capitalization
- Conducting basic research as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Adhering to Workwarp guidelines and client preferences, and proofreading work before submission
Qualifications
To be successful as a Legal Transcriptionist at Workwarp, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Type at least 65 words per minute (wpm)
- Transcription and word processing experience in an office environment within the last five years
- Good working knowledge of creating formal correspondence, memos, reports, etc.
- Familiarity with legal and workers' comp terminology
- Knowledge of proper format for legal citations, interrogatories, deposition summaries, and other legal court documents
- Strong working knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word 2007 or newer, including advanced formatting features
- Excellent listening skills and ability to work independently
Success Criteria
To ensure success in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Work a minimum of 3 days per week
- Maintain a spelling accuracy rating of 95% or higher after the first 30 days
- Maintain a grammar and formatting accuracy rating of 95% or higher after the first 30 days

To perform this role, you will need to have the following equipment and system requirements:
- Reliable high-speed internet access
- Computer or laptop with Windows 7 or higher and Microsoft Office 365
