What's up artists!
I'm Jake, I'm a filmmaker that makes videos for the Marine Corps, and I'm currently working on a long-term documentary project about Marine Corps boot camp.
The documentary's initial sequence is going to be 1-2 minutes long, and it's what I'm looking for help with. I have a rough idea of what I'm looking for, but I want to work with a dedicated artist to come up with some concept art, which will then help me more easily figure out what I'll need and how I want to go about shooting things.
Here's the gist of the sequence so you have a sense for what you'd be working on:
We're in a Valhalla-like afterlife realm made up of the greatest warriors and heroes throughout humanity's history. There will be two characters - Character 1 will be the Warrior God, Character 2 will be one of his lieutenants. The sequence is basically them having a discussion, then sending the Marines into battle.
I'm looking for someone to help me design the look of the two characters and their setting. I have some general ideas for what I want, but my goal is to communicate those to you and have you use your talent and creativity and ideas to come up with something you think would be awesome, based on what I give you. There will probably be some iteration required, but I'm looking to have the finished thing no later than April 14. I'm looking for something 2D, made by a real person.
